Bishopbriggs is a town in East Dunbartonshire and lies just 5 miles north of Glasgow city centre. Although a relatively affluent commuter suburb, many areas of the town lack good green infrastructure and the existing canopy cover is just 15%, which falls short of our 20% target. Our aim is to plant more than 1000 trees across Bishopbriggs. Will you help us?
In 2023 , 43 standard trees were planted in Meadowburn Park. Funded by Trees for Cities and planted by East Dunbartonshire Council, these trees will help our journey to Net Zero by locking up carbon as they grow.
We’ve worked with East Dunbartonshire Council to carry out an assessment of their land for tree and woodland planting. It’s hoped that some of these opportunities can be further explored and delivered in the coming years, helping us to achieve our ambitious tree planting target.
